The weapon? Spam (picture of Andrea Hall and Spam).
The tool? The Spam-a-Pult (picture of Evan Dorn and Robert Richardson).
The people? SWIL (picture of SWILfolk and Spam-a-Pult).
This was truly a feat of great engineering by Charles Danforth. The Spam-a-Pult was built from rope, a crutch, and some two-by-fours, capable of hurling spam 30 feet or more.
The spam was placed in the Spam-a-Pult and very carefully aimed. At one point, the Spam-a-Pult was even tried in its vertical position.
At the end, however, it degenerated into playing SpamBall, with Sam Weiler pitching and Charles hitting. No one volunteered to catch.
