Jasonville in the GalapagosThe scientists in the Galapagos Islands created Jasonville and used it to transmit their broadcasts via satellite back to the United States.Most of Jasonville was situation on land, but there were also bases of operation aboard the Nortada and the Mistral. It was a complex operation, requiring careful monitoring of all of the different cameras and locations. The show was broadcast live, so it left little room for these guys to make mistakes. We also needed to be in constant communication with the folks back "State-side" (in the United States). We even got a chance to call home once! It really surprised all of our parents. Despite all of the work, everyone was always in a really good mood and there was always room for a little bit of fun .
